CAD TECHNICIAN

Longhorn Geomatics Limited is a Geomatics and Land Surveying Corporation with a casual, energetic and dynamic culture. Longhorn is located in Calgary, Alberta and is currently seeking CAD Technicians to join our expanding and ambitious team. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to directly influence the evolution of Longhorn’s computer drafting procedures in our close-knit and collaborative team atmosphere.

Requirements:
As a successful candidate you:

• have post secondary CAD training
• have one year minimum CAD Operator experience on oil and gas projects (wellsite, pipeline, construction, topographic, and cadastral surveys)
• have proficient use of AutoCAD software
• have proficient survey calculation and coordinate geometry skills
• embrace new technologies and innovation applied to survey projects
• have strong leadership skills
• have employment references
• ensure 100% compliance with Longhorn’s drug and alcohol policies

Responsibilities:
As a member of Longhorn’s team you will:

• draft oilfield related survey drawings such as wellsite plans, pipeline drawings (IOP, crossing, construction drawings), and legal survey drawings
• communicate directly with field survey staff
• promote Longhorn’s safety program
• update safety and technical training as required
